Beautiful! This is actually O. ortgiesii (17/03/2023)
I am so excited that Ecuagenera actually carries this species! This is not the common Oxalis vulcanicola, it is actually Oxalis ortgiesii or "fishtail" oxalis. It has been on my wishlist for years and it's nearly impossible to find in the USA. This oxalis is more of a succulent type with fleshy stems and the most beautifully shaped leaves. It used to be grown as a houseplant back in the 1970s-80s but seems to have fallen out of cultivation here. I'm still figuring out the care, but it seems to like similar conditions to your standard "shamrock" oxalis triangularis. Mine is doing well with bright indirect light and good draining soil, but it maybe prefers being kept a little on the drier side than triangularis. The leaves fold up a little at night and it is the cutest thing :)
I ordered mine in the dead of winter (oops) which, despite paying for a heat pack and expedited shipping, definitely stressed the plant. It dropped a bunch of leaves from the cold, but after acclimating for a few weeks it started putting out a ton of new leaves and is now doing very well. I hope I can keep this fellow growing for years to come!
